At WDS 2026, Otokar will exhibit six armored military vehicles and turret systems configured for different operational roles. The lineup at the Otokar stand includes ARMA 8x8 Wheeled Armored Vehicle with a 30 mm MIZRAK Turret, COBRA II Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicle (COBRA II MRAP) with a 25 mm MIZRAK L Turret, the COBRA II & Reconnaissance Drone Vehicle, TULPAR Tracked Armored Vehicle with 120 mm HITFACT MkII Leonardo Turret, URAL II, and ARMA II 8x8 Mobile Repair and Recovery Vehicle.
Having identified Saudi Arabia as a strategic focal market within the Gulf Region for many years, Otokar’s armored military vehicles have been actively deployed across a range of operational missions in the region for nearly a quarter of a century. Saudi Arabia has been a key focus within Otokar’s long-term engagement in the Gulf Region, where sustained operational use of its platforms has supported a detailed understanding of local operational practices, user requirements, and in-service expectations, forming a foundation for future cooperation structured around long-term partnership and industrial alignment.
“A LONG-STANDING PRESENCE IN THE GULF REGION”
Commenting on the exhibition, Aykut Özüner, General Manager of Otokar, said:
“Saudi Arabia has been a central reference point within Otokar’s long-standing engagement in the Gulf Region, where decades of operational use have contributed to a clear understanding of user requirements and in-service expectations. This sustained engagement has allowed Otokar to align its platforms with user operational practices, forming a practical basis for subsequent industrial participation and long-term cooperation. Beyond vehicle delivery, Otokar’s approach is focused on contributing to broader defense capability development through industrial cooperation, technology transfer, and local production, structured to support sustainable in-country capacity building. World Defense Show 2026 provides a focused platform to deepen dialogue with Saudi stakeholders and to advance long-term cooperation aligned with the Kingdom’s defense and industrial priorities.”
“WE DEVELOP SOLUTIONS ALIGNED WITH OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS”
Commenting on Otokar’s approach in the region, Sedef Vehbi, Otokar Military Cluster Head, stated: “We maintain close and continuous engagement with current and prospective users in Saudi Arabia, supported by broader regional experience, allowing us to directly assess operational requirements. Today, more than 33,000 Otokar military vehicles are in active service worldwide, reflecting the operational maturity of our platforms. World Defense Show provides an opportunity to engage with Saudi stakeholders on operational priorities while exploring structured industrial participation models and practical pathways toward localization, sustainment, and in-country capability development aligned with the Kingdom’s defense and industrial objectives.”
HIGHER PROTECTION, MAINTAINED MOBILITY
Debuting at World Defense Show 2026, URAL II marks the latest development within Otokar’s tactical wheeled armored vehicle family, introducing an increased level of ballistic and mine protection while preserving the platform’s established mobility characteristics. Designed in response to the operational requirements of internal security and paramilitary forces, URAL II prioritizes crew protection in higher-risk operating environments without compromising agility. The platform’s modular architecture allows configuration for different mission profiles, supporting flexible deployment across a range of security tasks.
MODULAR 8×8 PLATFORM FOR MULTI-ROLE LAND OPERATIONS
Built on a modular vehicle architecture, ARMA 8x8 supports a wide range of operational roles through adaptation to different mission requirements and has been proven through sustained operational use in diverse environments. The platform combines mobility with protection while accommodating the integration of medium- and high-calibre weapon systems to meet specific operational needs. Displayed at World Defense Show 2026 with the Otokar-designed 30 mm MIZRAK turret, ARMA 8x8 reflects a mature and field-validated platform architecture compatible with integrated weapon solutions for contemporary land forces.
TRACKED COMBAT VEHICLE ALIGNED WITH CURRENT REQUIREMENTS
TULPAR reflects Otokar’s tracked combat vehicle capability, bringing together firepower, mobility, and protection within a modern platform architecture. The vehicle has been evaluated through comprehensive user trials and reflects Otokar’s approach to developing tracked systems aligned with current land force operational concepts and expectations. At World Defense Show 2026, TULPAR is displayed with the 120 mm HITFACT MkII turret, underlining its suitability for missions requiring a high level of direct fire capability within a tracked platform.
PROTECTION AND MOBILITY IN HIGH-RISK ENVIRONMENTS
Developed for operations in environments where mine and IED threats remain a primary concern, COBRA II MRAP is designed to enhance crew survivability while maintaining mobility across varied terrain. The platform combines ballistic, mine, and blast protection with an independent suspension system, supporting cross-country performance under demanding operational conditions. Its modular vehicle architecture allows the integration of different weapon systems and mission equipment, enabling flexible configuration while supporting payload capacity and ease of maintenance. COBRA II MRAP is displayed at World Defense Show 2026 with the 25 mm MIZRAK L turret.
INTEGRATED SOLUTION FOR ASYMMETRIC THREAT ENVIRONMENTS
Based on the COBRA II platform, the COBRA II Reconnaissance Drone vehicle is configured to support continuous reconnaissance and surveillance operations through an integrated unmanned aerial system with automated battery replacement at the vehicle station, enabling sustained 24/7 mission availability. Building on the established mobility, reliability, and in-service maturity of the COBRA II family, the platform enables rapid deployment to areas of interest. Its open architecture supports the integration of electronic warfare and other mission systems, supporting the detection and mitigation of asymmetric threats in complex operating environments.
FIELD RECOVERY AND MAINTENANCE SUPPORT FOR LAND FORCES
ARMA II 8x8 Mobile Repair and Recovery Vehicle reflects Otokar’s approach to field-level sustainment and recovery support, addressing the need for operational continuity during land operations. With its multi-role recovery capability, the platform is designed to recover, tow, and support on-site repair of disabled wheeled and tracked armored vehicles, enabling timely response to recovery and maintenance tasks under challenging field conditions.
